Review: LUS V-Line Lift Up & S-Line Body Glove

Oh... the dreaded double chin...
Now that my metabolism's been slowing down and I have a weakness for lemon-cream sandwich biscuits, the chubs and flabs are catching up faster than ever. It isn't as easy as cutting the mayo and taking the staircase anymore.

Perhaps it's gonna take some outside help.
This post reviews the LUS Extra V-Line Lift Up and S-Line Body Glove.

Do I believe in slimming products? Honestly, no. So, when I took up these products to try I was really just aiming at some firming.

Let's start with the LUS S-Line Body Glove.

One box consists of 5 individually-packet mitt. Cleverly designed, the mitt has a sandy surface on one side and a raised-dot surface on the other with two holes for the thumb so that you can use whichever side with any hand you want.

The mitt is soaked with the essence and really warms up as you rub it into your skin. You begin by using the sandy side first to exfoliate and then follow with the dotted side. The concept offers a handy and somewhat more effective application as opposed to just slathering on lotion.

Along with the warming sensation, I could feel my skin tightening up. However, in terms of losing inches, I wasn't expecting to and I didn't. But my thighs, arms and belly did feel slightly less flabby.

Probably it'd work if I was more diligent? A box retails for RM89 at SaSa or www.supermodels-secrets.com.my

Now, the V-Line Lift Up was equally as entertaining as the Body Glove was. A box came not only with 7 sheets of jaw/chin masks but also the "Neoprene band" which I call a "face bra" (remember the "face bra" from Ally McBeal??).

Basically what you do is slap the mask onto your jaw/chin and then hold it in place with the Neoprene band which you Velcro down up top. It felt really unusual at first because I don't exactly have a small face but after a few times, I was starting to get the hang of it.

The essence from the mask has that warming sensation too which made my skin feel itchy the first time I tried it (no rash... just itchy) but the second time was much better.

To my surprise, it did have some effect. Not a lot, just some. Again, it probably could work better if I was more diligent. My double chin subsided and my jawline appeared a bit more defined.

I still have a few more sheets left but I reckon I could still use the face bra regardless. The material is quite stretchy and comfortable.

This Is Me... Again!

Guess who popped by Inglot? :D Oh, and I visited Sephora too (late bloomer!) and naturally, could not leave empty-handed... No points given to guess what I bought.

It's delightful to see many of you having some similarities with me. I'm not alone, it seems! So, if you're keen, here's the remaining 25!

A few weeks back, I tried out one of the new facial treatments offered by CRES Wellness. The treatment promised many things including:
  • Instant Pore refining
  • Instant Whitening and spot lightening
  • Ultra smooth and radiant complexion
  • Fine lines and wrinkle removing, look instantly younger
  • Ultra hydrating, calming and refreshing
  • Instant face lift, no more puffy face, face look thinner and sharper
That's a lot "instant"s...

CRES Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy is a highly effective reversal and therapeutic treatment which combined the mighty energy of the natural crystal and the state-of –the-art nano-technology. It can unblock and activate the lymph nodes, increase the flow of nutrients to the cells, and thus stimulate better and faster cell repair and renewal, leaving skin instantly revitalized and ultra smooth like baby’s skin. -- CRES Wellness

It was supposed to be a relaxing morning but due to a doggie emergency, I was slightly pressed for time to really empty out my mind and soak in the tranquility.

Soon after I’ve arrived, I was whisked into the facial room (didn't even get a locker) until the beauty consultant realized that she had forgotten to analyze my skin prior to the facial. So, out I came again to have my skin analyzed. All of my supposed flaws were blown up, making them appear more serious than they really were. In the end, the machine messed up and displayed that my major problem is open pores (for my dry skin, it hardly is!) and the consultant disregarded the results altogether. In other words, there wasn't a real purpose to the analysis.

My eyes were closed most of the time during the facial so I'm not too sure what went on but one thing's for sure, there were many masks applied on me. Oh, and it was my first time experiencing a cold steam which was pretty cool. Get it? "Cool"? Nevermind. Then they did the classic facial extraction.

As I was dozing off, I barely acknowledged the therapist telling me that she was going to shave my eyebrows. The moment the blade touched my skin, I yelped and gave the poor girl a fright. At that time I'd had been growing out my eyebrows for 3 weeks to reshape and there was NO WAY on earth was I allowing a blade to come near them.

The massage was more painful than what I can usually tolerate but the therapist was telling me that pain is better so I endured it. By the end of it, I couldn't decide if pain really was better.

Throughout the entire session, several "Before", "During", and "After" pictures were taken of me so that I could see the result (I didn't ask for the pictures). At the end of the facial, I visited the Consultation Room again and was shown the pictures for comparison. The results were undoubtedly instant and visible.

As with most instantaneous things, the results lacked substance. A couple of hours later, I looked like my normal self. I even asked around if I looked any different and well, I trust my friends to be honest. I did grow two pimples the next day though. I'm not putting the blame on the treatment. It's just that my skin doesn't seem to like extractions when they're not completely necessary.

Overall, the facial is decent but I've had better ones with more sustainable results. It's just not spectacular taking into account how many procedures they did on me.

The normal price for this treatment is RM408 which is indeed more steep than your average facial. So, if you're keen to try this treatment or any other facial treatment, you may want to utilize this voucher offered by CRES.

This is me...

I'm sitting here, not doing my usual blogging because I don't have my photos with me since I'm not at home. Also, I should be doing more important things but I don't want to.

After reading Tine's post, I'm compelled to entertain you (and myself) with 50 Things About Me.

Here goes...
  1. I'm a major procrastinator.
  2. My name is often misspelled causing many inconveniences
  3. I love my cat.
  4. I have a tendency of staring into space and letting my mind wander.
  5. I don't like verbal confrontation.
  6. My future son will be named Nathaniel. If I get a daughter, she'll be called Denise.
  7. A Feng Sui master once told me that I'll have three sons before I can even think of getting a daughter.
  8. I don't like to associate with people from my forgotten past.
  9. Most of my friends I've known online.
  10. The older I get, the more clueless I am about what I wanna do with my life.
  11. Because there are just too many things I wish I can achieve in my life.
  12. I mumble to myself sometimes.
  13. I blame it on growing up an only child.
  14. I'm happy and yet very upset over something that I'm going through in the present moment.
  15. I miss blogging and I hate that I can't do it as often as I could before.
  16. I eat unhealthy food when I'm sad.
  17. I eat unhealthy food when I'm happy.
  18. I'm unhappy when I eat unhealthy food.
  19. I've always been struggling with my weight.
  20. The world doesn't hesitate to remind me about it and whether I show it or not, I do get very very upset. Which brings me back to #16.
  21. In less than two weeks I will be a certified Open Water Diver :)
  22. My mind works in pessimistic ways...
  23. And yet there's room to be a lot more careful, which I'm not.
  24. I'm getting sleepy and I can't really think of what I want to say.
  25. Can I continue tomorrow?
