Event + Look: SaSa Bloggers' Tea Session

For those of you unfamiliar with SaSa, it is a multi-brand beauty chain store originated from Hong Kong. Sasa has been operating in Malaysia for 12 years with around 30 stores nationwide. Carrying over 300 beauty brands, SaSa offers not-quite-mainstream products that are usually unavailable in any other local retail stores.

Last Friday, I walked aimlessly and asked for directions twice to get myself to SaSa's first Bloggers' Tea Session held in Delicious Cafe at Marc Residence.

The dress code asked for something pink... Oh dear.
Read on for details of the event and the look I wore for the occasion.

Remember Bob? His "It's not difficult to fall in love with I Nuovi" quote was revolutionary... to me, at least. He was invited by SaSa to do a makeup demonstration for the event and asked if I wanted to go. It was a chance for us to catch up so, of course I said "Yes"! Unfortunately, the others couldn't join us but I was lucky to have Bee as my plus-one and I hers.

Food and cosmetics makes for a perfect combination. Some of the products displayed were new offerings at SaSa including theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and Cyber Colors Gemstone Compact Two-way Cake Foundation. I look forward to trying out both products, which were very generously included in the goodie bag. Look out for the reviews!
Oh, I just realized something. There was no tea at the tea party... or was there? *shrugs*

Bob demonstrated a clean and defined natural look for everyday

Group shot with the other bloggers who have attended and camwhoring was, for sure, a must

In case you were wondering, I got the pink on my nails!
Yes, I'm wearing faux lashes (I Nuovi Pro Lash EX03) during the day. It was my way of paying homage to Bob!
There will be a tutorial coming up for this look under the Summer Tutorials series so I won't be listing all the products I've used out in this post.
Before you ask, the foundation is Graftobian HD Creme Foundation (I know. Awesome, right?) and the lip color is a combination of several OCC Lip Tars (Grandma + Uber + Hush + Conquest).

SaSa Malaysia is on Facebook!

You look super gorgeous..I love your makeup..=)..

Anonymous: I really liked the combination too! OCC Lip Tars are suuuuuper pigmented lip colors that you can mix around to achieve the color that you want. I reviewed them some time ago: http://www.skindeco.net/2009/12/review-obsessive-compulsive-cosmetics.html

Angie: Awh, thanks :)

I shopped at Sasa in Singapore. Bought The Balm's foundation and lip gloss....

It's great to know that Sasa is paying attention to bloggers.

Hmm, nice smooth skin you have there :)

Slowbrogal: Thank you! Looking forward to seeing the pics ;)

Germaine: I love bright colors as much as I love smokey eyes! I need to get some other reviews up first before I can review the Graftobian

Mirna: Now they just have to work on the sales assistants but I must admit that they're getting better! And thanks!

Oohh Graftobian HD Creme Foundation! I just got my 5 palette today and not sure which is my shade yet, I think I'll have to mix =) can't wait for your review on it!! Great flawless look!

Connie De Alwis said...

Dana: I actually wanted the 5-shade palette but I wasn't keen on mixing colors. I took a risk when buying the shade that I got and thankfully it matched me quite well.

I LOVE SASA! I remember those times I work as a teacher in Shenzhen and I would go travel back and forth to HK via Ferry just to visit SASA ! hahahha

Connie De Alwis said...

Eileen: Thank you! :) Pink wasn't a good color in real life so I removed it soon after the event...

Nikki: the sasa in HK is so much bigger! there's a lot to see at SaSa but it can get quite stressful being in the store with the intense sales assistants. Luckily I've found a sasa store that I feel comfortable being in.

Xin: hehe thanks! Bob very cute la. I love the first pic with him. ya, and we missed you there!
